The library now has a new public black and white copier. Funds for the copier were from the library’s gift fund. We want to thank all of you who donate to the library.
Book memorials are a wonderful way to honor a friend for some special occasion or to remember a person who has passed away. Book plates are placed in the book acknowledging the memorial donation. Join us on Tuesday, October 21 from 6 – 7:45 PM as we have our annual Halloween fun night. We will have a magician who will perform his magic on children as well as face painting and crafts. The Library Board will serve cookies and punch. Children and adults are encouraged to come in costume!
The Friends will be holding their Monday morning book sale on October 6th from 9:30-11. Lots of great bargains! Thank you to everyone who has donated items for the book sale. Items may be dropped off at the circulation desk during business hours.
The South Milwaukee Lions Club donated a magnifier reader to the library. If you are having problems reading the small print, this reader will be of great help. The reader is located in the reference area.
Day care centers are encouraged to contact the Youth Room to arrange for a visit to the library. Call 768-8195, ext 3 to make arrangements.
The tickets for the South Milwaukee Public Library Foundations annual wine tasting party are available. Cost is $20 per person. The wine tasting will be held on Friday, October 17 from 7 - 9:30 pm. Tickets may be purchased at the library, Parkway Floral, M&I Bank or at the door on the night of the event.
